I updated the map (bottom of post) of the Byron area with the current United Methodist Church of Byron location, as that church held T. O. Vinson's funeral.
Based on surnames alone, T. O. Vinson has 93 possible personal connections in the Byron City Cemetery (12 direct - surname VINSON, 81 additional - surnames from wife and married children). Next we'll see what can be found out about Mr. Vinson's wife, Kittie Robertson.

Welcome to the Geneabloggers family. Hope you find the association fruitful; I sure do. I have found it most stimulating, especially some of the Daily Themes.
ReplyDeleteMay you keep sharing your ancestor stories!

Hi! Welcome to the Geneabloggers family. In my opinion, this is one of the most amazing "families" to be a part of - there is lots of support, ideas, and such through Geneabloggers. Like Bill said, the Daily Blogging Themes are really helpful when you run out of stuff to say.
ReplyDeleteFrom the posts that I've read, you seem to go really in depth when you do your research. If you do research in particular place, like a particular cemetery or town, you could make a WikiTree profile for it. WikiTree (www.wikitree.com) is a free family tree building website but it is different in that it has unique privacy controls and you can create profiles for places, things (like heirlooms), or pets.
Once again, welcome to the blogging world. :)
